Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
What’s our response to the truth spoken in Romans 8 up to this point? If we know that God has a plan that includes us, that He chose us and called us from before the world’s creation, and that He molds us into the image of Christ and justifies us in Him, how can we not trust that He’s for us? And if the Alimighty Creator of all things is for us, who could possible bring anything up against us that would come even close to matching His might?
If God is soverign, and by this point in reading Romans you should be able to conclude that He is, then what could ever stop Him? Nothing. And if we’re acting on His behalf, carrying out His will, then what could ever stand against us and succeed? Again the answer is nothing.
God is on our side if we’re abiding in Him. Nothing stands in our way as we bring about His purpose. Nothing.
